Individual Therapy

Your therapist will guide you in addressing various symptoms and/or psychosocial difficulties through the use of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). CBT has been demonstrated to be an effective treatment for social anxiety disorder, panic disorder, generalized anxiety, specific phobia, OCD, depression, behavioral disorders, marital distress, etc. In addition, it has been found to be beneficial in helping individuals address common problems of living (e.g., procrastination, test anxiety, anger management, and relationship difficulties). Your therapist will help you identify the problem and define your goals for treatment. You and your therapist will work together to recognize and change maladaptive thinking patterns, which cause the emotions and behaviors that you would like to change. Please see What is cognitive behavioral therapy? for a more detailed explanation of CBT

They are then guided in developing learning skills and strategies, which will improve upon their child’s behavior and strengthen the parent/child relationship.

Family Therapy

Therapy will focus on helping family members address the thinking patterns that lead to family conflict and communication difficulties.
